The plantations around New Orleans started with indigo as a crop until they discovered the processing of the plant’s leaves was killing the workers. Â Also, the crops were devastated by worms, and they switched to sugar cane.

I love the color indigo blue and I love the word indigo, hence the name Indigo Polo.
